Restoration & Consecration Ceremony – Held every 12 years.
Punaravarthana MahaKumbhabhisekham – 12.April.2019
The Punaravarthana Maha Kumbhabhishekam is to be performed with the blessings of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu on 12th April 2019.
The Maha Kumbhabishekam is a prescribed sequence of Agamic rituals performed to enrich and enhance the divinity of the Deities in the Temple, thus filling the Temple with intense divine vibrations. The Agamas require that a Punaravarthana Maha Kumbhabishekam be performed once every 12 years.
We are building new shrines and renovating the whole temple in preparation for the Punaravarthana Kumbhabhisekham on 12th April 2019.
The major works undertaken in the temple are the construction of the Shri Ayappa Shrine, Shri Chakarathalwar and Shri Narasimha Shrine and Yagasala. As prior to the Kumbhabhishekam is the appropriate time to renovate the temple, we are renovating all the existing Shrines, restoring the Raja Gopurams, replacing/ repairing the heating system, roof, flooring, windows, electrical services etc and painting the whole temple.
This construction and renovation work is estimated to cost approximately $900k.
